Dear possibly unaware affiliate marketer!

Do you promote ClickBank^®, Commission Junction, PayDotCom, or any other affiliate program?

Did you know that right now, this minute, affiliate commission thieves are hi-jacking, bypassing and stripping your affiliate links?

Are you aware that this could be costing you upwards of 70% of your commission payments?

If you are not cloaking affiliate links then you are effectively giving the commission thieves the keys to your business!

For some time now affiliate commission thieves have known how to bypass your affiliate links. Uncloaked affiliate links are usually very easy to spot! Take the ClickBank^® affiliate link;

Cleary an affiliate link! It looks ugly and even though ClickBank^® now cloak their links it is still obviously an affiliate link.

 

An affiliate commission thief, on seeing that link, would immediately create their own affiliate link via the ClickBank^® marketplace and then try an buy through their new affiliate link, effectively bypassing your affiliate link. Result = ZERO commission for you!

 

Commission thieves also know how to strip your affiliate link; Take this Hostgator link;

Once again, ugly, clearly an affiliate link and easily strippable! All a commission thief needs to do is to copy and paste the link into their browser navigation bar and remove the ?id=chadwickjs then hit return.  They will be taken to the same page they would have gone to with the full affiliate link but you will not get credited for any purchase they make! Result = ZERO commission for you!

Okay, so now you know the problem and it's a big problem! 70% of your commissions swiped from under your nose is a HUGE PROBLEM! You know you should do something about it but you are not prepared to pay the extortionate prices associated with some of the software solutions available and you are not tech savvy enough to create .php redirects for every affiliate link you promote.

 

There are of course free solutions out there if you do enough research and know some html or php coding. But generally the free solutions are not well supported and there are no guarantees they will work.

 

You could, if you really wanted your business to suffer, use a link shortening service such as the one used by twitter. The problem there is that these services still generate ugly links and the service tends to be a bit "flash in the pan!"  In other words they are here today and gone tomorrow. Do you really want a solution that may not be there in the long run.

 

Just imagine plastering your affiliate links all over the web only for the base link to break. Imagine a potential buyer clicking on your broken link and ending up at a 404 error page or a "site not found" notice. Professional?...... I THINK NOT!

I know it's a shock! Quality software available FREE! I'm simply fed up with so much of the hype online today. I'm a full time internet marketer. I earn my living on the internet, producing graphics, web designs and promoting other peoples products.
